ConneXions is a part of the Baltimore Urban Debate League (BUDL) and the ConneXions debate team competes in local, state-wide, and national competitive policy debate tournaments. In just a short time they have become one of the area's best known debate programs. The team's style is often quite different from status quo debate stereotypes, where debate is sometimes a speed reading contest which favors the team best able to use Harvard Professors to prove their point (like a mental paint-by-numbers). ConneXions debate team members have been known to drum, dance and read poetry IN ROUND! They have been known to be epistemological rebels, in other words, "rebels with a cause." Recent success and notoriety on the National Debate Circuit has been the catalyst for the growth in size and depth of the ConneXions High School Debate team.
